Pineal Gland Health [Food Diary Mar 25]
Ok, I know I’m supposed to be doing liver cleanses and colon cleanses very soon, but today I’m interested in the Pineal Gland.
Last week’s “Smoothie-a-Day’ challenge was semi-successful. On the days that I didn’t have a smoothie, I had a freshly-squeezed juice, so all-in-all, I think it was a good goal to have for myself and I want to keep that particular momentum going. The weather is getting a little cooler now so while it’s still ‘transforming’ seasons with warm days to cooler days, I want to make sure I keep getting as many smoothies and juices into my system as possible, and keep up the saturation of nutrients into my body.
So I like the “smoothie-or-juice’ a day concept.
Now onto what I plan to do for my Pineal Gland this week, the more I look into it, the more it seems that providing focus on the ‘advice given’ in this area will mean:
- Better Mental Clarity
- Decalcifying the whole body (not just the pineal gland)
- Detoxing the whole body
- Improved flexibility
- Strengthened hair & nails
- Accelerated healing
- Improved energy
- Anti-inflammatory
- Improved physiological function
- Improved concentration
- Enhanced imagination
- Better quality sleep
- Vivid dreams
- Happier mentality
- Improve intuition
- .. and more
Who wouldn’t say no to improvement in any of those areas?
Although, I can’t really say that the sites that I got the following information from look at all.. um.. “trustworthy”… I will take notes anyway and then that will give me a starting point for further research down the track, plus if it’s not “too out there” anyway, I can start implementing the things that I resonate with and trust, but I don’t know how factual some of these sites are, but they are all listing the same things, which suggests that they are all getting it it from each other, just as I am doing now, rather than re-checking the info. So I’ll list what I find here, test what I think is logical, and look further into the research as I go along.
So out of what I’ve collated so far, I already do the following, but will be much more “aware” of it:
- Lessening exposure to fluoride (I have already removed as much as possible, except I don’t buy organic foods yet nor do I have a shower-filter – and that is unlikely while I’m in this house, and I’m sure my water filter isn’t anywhere near as good as it should be). I guess I can make an effort to make my showers even shorter, by turning off the water while soaping up, etc.. I dunno.. and wonder if I can make more of a concerted effort to wash my fruits/vegetables using filtered water instead of the tap water although my water filter doesn’t remove fluoride anyway (it’s just a breville). I was washing produce with a bit of hydrogen peroxide + filtered water at the start of my journey, but it got a bit too cumbersome, or I got a bit too lazy, etc. And I’ve been waiting to purchase 35% to make my own purer form of 3% before adding that routine back. I dunno. Hopefully I can just make it up with the rest of the suggestions because fluoride removal is not exactly realistic in my life right now.
- Avoid Calcium Supplements (well looks like my ‘hunch’ about this was right.. I bought Calcium supplements in January (Caltrate Plus which contains 600mg calcium & 500IU Vitamin D, as well as Magnesium, Zinc, Copper, & Manganese.) and intended to do it for 30 days, but I only took 2 of them before I quit.
- Remove mercury tooth fillings – I got these removed years ago, but I’ve never been convinced that I did the right ‘heavy metal detox’ after taking them out. The dentist gave me a chlorella + part of my own filling type concoction that I was supposed to take until there was no more, but back then, I wasn’t exactly a good ‘student’ and I didn’t finish it. So I should really do a proper mercury cleanse. Chlorella, Iodine, Selenium, Edible Clay,
- Magnesium – I have been adding magnesium on “work days” only, but maybe I’ll do it daily this week. I use magnesium oil on my lower legs, and do not have any form of drinkable-magnesium and don’t really intend to. I might also do another magnesium crystal bath, yeah, I hope I can get the bathroom this week to be able to do that :)
- Eliminate Soda’s – can’t even remember the last time I had soda.. maybe 2012?
And these are the ‘new’ things that I intend to incorporate the following into my regime:
- Avoid Aluminium Deodorant – I only use deodorant with aluminium at work (4-7 hours a week) but maybe I’ll be more rigorous about washing it off as soon as I get home. The rest of the time, I either wear no deodorant (sorry family? hehe.. or a little coconut oil + bicarb powder) And I used to make this homemade deodorant before I got lazy and went with the quick-fix.
- Iodine Supplementation – I have been adding “nori flakes” to almost every meal since I purchased it many moons ago, but I’m going to ‘ramp it up’ now. I just learnt that Iodine will immediately increase the excretion of bromide, fluoride, mercury & lead and other heavy metals. I purchased Detoxadine from GHC a couple of weeks ago and am yet to add it to my regime, so this seems like the right time to do so. So my intention this week is to continue adding nori flakes to the suitable meals and add 1-2-3-2-1 drops of Iodine daily, either to my juice, smoothie, or in water.
Note: GHC I think recommends 3 drops per day but I’m going to follow this Edgar Cayce protocol even though it’s using a different brand. The recommendation is for: ( 1 2 3 2 1 drops per day for 5 days, off 5 days, and 1 2 3 2 1 drops per day for 5 days. Break for 2 weeks, then repeat.. [1 2 3 2 1 means 1 drop the first day, 2 drops the second day, 3 drops the third day, 2 drops the fourth day, and 1 drop the fifth day – in half a glass of water, before breakfast.] I’ve just added it to my ‘calendar’ so that I can remember :) - Selenium – I usually eat 1-2 brazil nuts daily, and skip some days randomly, I also consume sunflower seeds & walnuts daily to get my selenium, although I don’t have a way of ‘testing’ the selenium content of these nuts/seeds and we have no idea these days the amount that we are getting because it depends on the selenium content in the soil where they are grown and things have changed a lot since the days of those tests, however I will continue taking these as well as I do have some selenium supplements that I haven’t used since last year, so perhaps I will add them into the regime somewhere just for the point of this particular week of working on the pineal gland (even though it could take ‘years’ to decalcify perhaps).. I will figure out what dosage if any that I will incorporate after I do some more research. I know that taking ‘too much’ selenium is not supposed to be good for us ~ but I can’t remember why, and that it should be taken with vitamin E (although I’m sure I take enough vitamin e from my diet from eating apples, asparagus, avocado, blackberries, brussels sprouts, tempeh, spinach, kale, walnuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, broccoli, & pumpkin). I definitely don’t feel like I need to supplement vitamin e, but I’m not as convinced about my selenium levels.
- Lemon & Ginger
- MSM Supplementation – dosage to be worked up to around 7,000-10,000mg per day.
- Magnesium
- Raw Food Diet – no meat
- Spirulina, Chlorella, Parsley
- Raw Cacao – pineal gland detoxifier in high doses because of the high antioxidant levels
- Zeolite – Maybe another week, it’s on my ‘wishlist’ but it’s not on my ‘high priority list’ out of everything else that’s on there
- Ginseng – I have some, and I’ll incorporate it to this week, I don’t like to have excess supplements though
- No Pesticides – Fresh organic food that hasn’t used chemical pesticides (er.. could be a problem for me as there are no nearby organic places)
- No Sugar, Caffeine, Alcohol, Tobacco for 2 months – also could be a problem for me, I drink a lot of coffee and smoke.
- Citric Acid – 3 tablespoons of citric acid or 7 organic lemons daily on an empty stomach for 3 weeks – woah lol.. this should be very interesting.. I think I might have to wait for our lemon tree to bare fruit to do this one, else it would be a very expensive exercise
- Garlic 1 clove daily
- Apple Cider Vinegar – contains malic acid.
- Oregano oil & Neem extract – no idea what neem is, hmm, more research needed.
- Activator X (Vitamin K1/K2) – potent detoxifer when mixed with Vitamin A & D3. K1 is naturally found in green leafy vegetables & K2 is created by intestinal microflora or found in organ meats, liver, egg yolks, fermented dairy products from grass-fed cows, Natto, sauerkraut, marine oils, fish eggs, and shellfish.
- Boron (found in beetroot)
- Melatonin – I didn’t like taking this, but I have some on hand. I’ll research more about this.
- Tamarind (pulp/bark/leaves from Tamarind tree) .. teas, extracts, tinctures. – I don’t see myself doing this.
- Distilled water
I will continue to update/modify/adjust the above as I research this week. So pineal gland is “this week’s research focus”, but may not necessary correspond to my diet this week but it will allow me to start adding in things that I learn and draw up a plan on how to execute the above more efficiently in future.

Wednesday 26th Mar 2014
Weather Check: Warm 26°
Mood Check: Happy, Calm, Content, Annoyed that I was made to wait an hour for an appointment they had double-booked, content again, happy, calm, peaceful
Sleep Check: 7.5 Hours
What I Ate:
Breakfast: Smoothie on the far right from yesterday’s batch
Lunch: So, the appointment I had went for 2 hours instead of 30 minutes, and then I went to the shopping centre. Food court smelt so inviting, but as I walked past everything, I wanted something.. I wanted CHIPS.. but it was cheaper to get a taster box than a small chips, and then I saw the wicked wings.. so I basically got the 2 cheapest things on the menu and combined them to make a super-meal of:
2 x Wicked Wings, 1 x Grilled Tender, and equivalent Medium Chips.. and Gravy. Yep.. I was a bad girl today. I should’ve come home first before detouring to get my coconut oil batch or even not ‘given in’ to hunger, or better yet – could’ve chosen something healthier… but I didn’t want to make 2 trips since the shopping centre was on the way home, the healthier options were double-the price for half the amount, and once I get a craving for something.. I pretty much have zero control.. I enjoyed every mouthful, sitting out on the park bench, listening to my ‘health’ podcasts LOL.. the irony was not lost on me.
Dinner: I hope I have redeemed myself with this dinner.
2 x Boiled Eggs (with butter, cayenne pepper, turmeric, black pepper)
Mixed Kale Leaves, Baby Rocket Leaves, Coriander, Parsley, Watercress
Walnuts, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Almond Flakes, Nori Flakes
Apple Cider Vinegar, Balsamic Vinegar, Coconut Oil
Dessert: Got creative to try and incorporate the Blackstrap Molasses that I purchased today.. irony is, it would’ve tasted DELICIOUS without the molasses :) But it was still pretty tasty, like a soft chocolate icecream. If I ever create something like this again, I’ll use only a tiny bit of molasses (if any), and would use “frozen” bananas for a real icecream-like experience. I made enough for 2 servings, so the plastic version went into the freezer, so it should taste really yum if I get an icecream craving this week.
Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
- 2 Tbsp Cacao Powder
- 2 Bananas
- 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
- 2 Tbsp Almond Meal
- 3 Tbsp Muesli (Oats, Sultanas & Seeds)
- 3 Tbsp Shredded Coconut
- 3 Tbsp Hemp Seeds
- 2 Tbsp Walnuts
- 1/2 tsp Moringa Powder
- 3 Tbsp Raisens
- 3 tsp Blackstrap Molasses (this was “WAY” overkill, and I thought I was being conservative with 3 tsps.. next time.. less than 1 tsp will be plenty.. it’s got a really strong, overpowering flavour)
- 4 x Strawberries, 1 Tbsp Sunflower Seeds, 1 Tbsp Flaked Almonds and a drizzle of Honey to serve
Activities:
- 1 x Coffee
- Breakfast: Approx 600ml Smoothie (Beetroot, Celery, Carrots, Cucumber, Kale, Orange, Lemon, Strawberries, Banana, Flaked Almonds, Chia Seeds, Hemp Seeds, Cacao Powder, Moringa Powder, Coconut Oil, Shredded Coconut)
- Vitamin B Supplement
- Getting ready for appointment
- Early for appointment but he still made me wait an HOUR in the waiting room while continuing to tell me “I’ll be with you in a second Penny”.. omg.. dude, an hour is not a second.. an hour is not a minute. After half an hour and the third “1 second”.. the other guy said he would be about 10-15 mins. I went for a walk, back in 15 and he said “one second”.. and took another half an hour. Omg. I was fine for the first 15 mins because I was early anyway, so happily listening to my podcasts, but after I had read everything in their shop, gone for a walk, and after the several “one second’s”.. I started to get a little annoyed at the ‘one second lie’ thing – if you are going to be a while – if you are nowhere near finished – just tell me, speak up, lol – just say it.. “im sorry.. it’s going to be a while.. I think there might be still an hour or so to go.. “.. just wondering how you could double-book people.. and why – if you mean “one hour” you would continually say “1 second”.. I could’ve gone and done my shopping, I could’ve ran errands, I could’ve rebooked the appointment for another day. But making me wait “one second” when you really mean “one hour”. Don’t do that again please. I didn’t feel “annoyed” in my body at all. I was just ‘bored’.. I can’t sit around doing “nothing”.. not when I’m expecting something ‘in a minute’ – but tell me I have an hour, I can fill it up.. or even be happy to sit there doing nothing, maybe learning meditation or something.. but waiting an hour in ‘anticipation’ is kinda torturous to me. I need to be doing something. I still got an extra podcast show into my daily ritual, so that’s a bonus.
- Lunch: Naughty KFC Lunch
- Banking, “Health shop” Shopping
- Yay got a HUGE big 1.8kg tin of Organic, Cold-pressed Coconut Oil that should do me for the rest of the year.. it’s massive, and it’s heaven.. already tucked into it, filling up various things around the house – the bathroom has been restocked, the kitchen, and the bedroom, and I took a huge tablespoon of it to eat straight away.
- Also purchased Chlorella for this week’s focus on decalcifying the pineal gland
- Bought some “black strap molasses” (the podcast show that I was listening to in the healthfood shop mentioned it just in time lol, so I bought some).. finally I have the “correct” molasses instead of the 2 previous that I purchased which do not contain the minerals that I thought they did.
- Bought a tea strainer for my marshmallow root tea
- 1 tsp MSM + Vitamin C
- Hour or two Hangout with the inlaws, talking about Indian airforce wars, the missing malaysian airplane conspiracies and theories from the perspective of a pilot, and their migration to australia.
- Dinner: 2 Boiled Eggs with Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, Butter, Turmeric, Leafy-green salad containing mixed Kale leaves (purple & green, baby & normal), Baby Rocket Leaves, Coriander & Parsley, Watercress, Walnuts, Pumpkin Seeds, Almond Flakes, Sunflower Seeds, Coconut oil, Nori Flakes)
- Facebook, ExtremeHealthRadio forum
- This blog post
- Another coffee then watched “The Block” with my sister (her fave show).. that I call “Family time”
- Dessert: Making a dessert (Bananas, Strawberries, Cacao, Chia, Almonds, Oats, Coconut, Hemp seeds, walnuts, moringa, raisens, blackstrap molasses, sunflower seeds) … just to use the blackstrap molasses I bought today.. the irony? It would’ve tasted delicious without the molasses heheh :)
- Researching Urine Therapy for Gardens after the podcast I listened to today
- Long (almost 2 hour phone call) with my friend in Sunshine Coast – can’t wait to move there.. then when the phone battery dies, we can keep talking lol.. spirituality, helping humanity, diet, lifestyle, energy.. there is no end to these types of topics.. it’s so awesome when we get a chance to chat!
- Long comment reply on my cure emphysema page
- Updating some older posts with better formatting
- 3 drops Iodine
- 1 Chlorella tablet (should have more, but I was a bit light on the water intake today and it’s 2am, so don’t want to drink a lot of water at this time of day.. so tomorrow will make more of an effort with chlorella) :)
- Magnesium oil on legs
- 2am now and I’m going to head to bed with my kindle books

- Magnesium oil on legs
How am I doing on the pineal gland stuff.. not so good, I still have much more researching to do and have been spending the past 2 days “decluttering” which is pretty important too. I’m clearing the way for the direction I want to go in life. I cannot move to where I want to move to with all these hoards of stuff “holding me back”, so I’m glad that I’m finding the motivation to finally get to it.
On the other hand, clarity comes in many forms and diet and mindset and the pineal gland decalcifying is just as important. So perhaps I will continue this exercise in future weeks too, using this week to gather information but another week to get more ‘stuck into’ the practice of it. I have added the chlorella.. the first week, you “build it up”, so I am on 3 now and hope to be on 6 daily next week. With the MSM, I had it daily but didn’t have any today so I really think I need to “chart” out all the things I’m going to do because I forget. I like to follow my intuition with anything but I think a chart my help me in this case. I started an excel sheet with everything I intend adding and the daily doses, etc. And will continue to update that spreadsheet throughout the week too.
When organized, I have been successful at having either a smoothie or juice daily. From “not being organized”, I have succumbed to both KFC & McDonalds this week, as well as eating more chicken salads than usual, although the climate is changing and perhaps my body is craving that, or maybe just because I happened to ‘have them on hand’ as to why they became a daily instead of a ‘once-a-week’ ingredient. But this week being “pineal gland” week, should mean “NO MEAT”.. just raw food, and I haven’t stuck with that at all, so I definitely haven’t been onpar with the research..and I still haven’t finished researching.. so I’ll definitely need to do this properly once I’ve finished all the research.
If it’s the climate.. then I can’t wait to move to a hotter location… I can see it happening soon, that’s why I’m getting the decluttering organized. I think there is a few more things that I need to organize before the move will open up for me.. getting my tax done, paying off debts, decluttering emails, and more boxes to sort through, old hard drives to go through, etc. If I can stay motivated, this shouldn’t take too long. I’m working for the next 2 days however, so most likely next week before I can get back into the swing of decluttering.
