Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo (although a bit stinky!) is a great companion to the bicarb soda shampoo as the bicarb opens the hair cuticles to wash and the vinegar closes the hair cuticles to condition and smooth. After the shower, use a couple of drops of essential oils to give it that “freshly washed” smell.
We only use shampoo because of clever marketing. Shampoo strips the natural oils from our scalp and adds toxins and chemicals directly to our bodies. Use Baking Soda once a week to open and clean cuticles, remove excess oils and dirt and alkalize pH levels.
Aluminum is the main ingredient of most deodorants that we purchase today. It is effective as an antiperspirant, but it messes with your hormone levels, is linked to cancer especially breast cancer as well as Alzheimer’s disease. Make your own deodorant or purchase natural aluminum-free deodorants. Here is the recipe I use.
Baking Soda, Vinegar, Peroxide, SeaSalt, combined can be used for a once monthly clean of your teeth.
Don’t want to put all those chemicals on your hair? Here’s a natural hair dye solution for Blondes.
