Epstein Files Timeline [EFTA01660683+]

I was curious as to why some people were claiming less than 1%, others say less than 2%, and then others say 50% of the Epstein files were released. It was getting confusing, so I decided to do a timeline and try and figure it out.

(Spoiler: It “changed”. It went from <1% to ~58% to 48.9% to <2% because we may not of been given the truth about how many files had been seized.)

“I guess I would. I think that [declassifying Epstein Files] less-so because, you don’t know, you don’t want to affect people’s lives if it’s phony stuff in there, because it’s a lot of phony stuff with that whole world. But I think I would.”

~ Trump @ Timestamp 35:19 (01) (02)

Would you declassify the Epstein Files?

“It’s a new day. It’s a new administration, and everything’s going to come out to the public. The public has the right to know. Americans have a right to know.”

~ AG Pam Bondi (03)

United States Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed the FBI had delivered thousands of pages of Epstein documents after she issued a deadline.

Trump dismisses reporter’s question “Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?”

Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein… This guy’s been talked about for years. You’re asking… we have Texas … and are people still talking about this guy? This creep? That is unbelievable. Do you want to waste the time… I mean, I can’t believe you’re asking a question on Epstein at a time like this where we’re having some of the greatest success, and also tragedy with what happened in Texas. It just seems uh, like a desecration.

“Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”

~ Trump (07)

Trump condemned his own base on Truth Social, calling his supporters “weaklings“, and the Epstein files a “Hoax“.

“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullshit,’ hook, line, and sinker.”

They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.

I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax.

“It’s all been a big hoax, it’s perpetrated by the Democrats. And some stupid Republicans and foolish Republicans fall into the net and so they try and do the Democrats’ work.”

~ Trump (08)

Trump calls the Epstein files the “Epstein hoax” and that supporters & members of his own party demanding release are ‘stupid people’ doing work for the democrats.

Nice try.

2 Sept 2025

Representative Thomas Massie, a member of the Republican Party, filed a discharge petition in support of a bill to release the Epstein files. (09)

12 Nov 2025

The discharge petition received the minimum-required 218 signatures needed, from 4 Republican representatives (Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Nancy Mace, and Massie) and 214 Democratic Party representatives, forcing a House vote on the bill. (10)

THE JEFFREY EPSTEIN HOAX” ~ Trump

Response: “… Them being raped as teenagers is not a hoax.”

Trump officially withdrew his endorsement of Marjorie Taylor Greene on Truth Social, calling her “Wacky”. He claimed that Greene “has told many people that she is upset that I don’t return her phone calls anymore”.

Marjorie replied to his claim on X stating, “I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today,” Greene added with screenshots of text messages. “Apparently this is what sent him over the edge. The Epstein files…

Check the flight logs of Epstein’s plane.
Bill Clinton is on there like 26 times!
Hillary too!!
For many of us releasing, the Epstein files has always been for the women who were victims of Jeffrey Epstein, but also because we believed that Democrat bad guys like the Clintons were entangled and involved with him.
Epstein was the spider that wove the web of the deep state.
Lean into it.

“Traitor”

~ Trump (12)

Trump refers to Marjorie Taylor Greene as Marjorie “Traitor” Greene because of her lead role in the “Epstein Files Transparency Act” and for her supporting a discharge petition to release the Epstein files which Trump opposed.

17 Nov 2025

“House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown.'”

~ Trump (13)

Trump gave the impression that he had officially reversed his position on the Epstein Files release, by posting on Truth Social: “House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide”. (14)

Although, if he had really reversed his position, then, as President, he could have ordered the release himself (like he’s been doing with every thing else lately; things that ‘should’ have a vote, such as… invading and attacking other countries… or spending billions on mRNA and AI… but I digress).

18 Nov 2025

“Today’s overwhelming vote in the House of Representatives to release the Epstein files is a major victory not only for the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse, but for victims of sexual abuse throughout the country”

~ Rep. Thomas Massie (15)

The House of Representatives voted 427–1 to pass the act, with Republican representative Clay Higgins of Louisiana casting the lone nay vote.

Clay Higgins explained his vote, stating the bill “abandons 250 years of criminal justice procedure in America” and that a broad release of files could result in “innocent people being hurt”. (16)

19 Nov 2025

The law gave the attorney general 30 days to release the documents.

The Senate passed the bill via unanimous consent, and Trump signed the bill into law.

Section 2(a) of the law explicitly states: “Not later than 30 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Attorney General shall… make publicly available… all unclassified records…” (17)

Nov-Dec 2025

“Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Greene and “Majorie ‘Traitor’ Brown”

~ Trump

Trump continues to call Marjorie Taylor Greene a traitor, causing her to lose support and eventually resign from Congress in Jan 2026 (she announced her resignation on 21 Nov 2025). (18)

19 Dec 2025

Less than 1% files released. Heavy redactions. Victims names left unredacted.

The U.S. Department of Justice released approximately 12,285 documents (125,000 pages) out of ~6million Epstein files (less than one percent of the total documents under review).

At least 500 pages were completely blacked out. There were extensive redactions of the names of public figures, while leaving some of the victims names unredacted (43 out of 47 victims in the files left unredacted). (19) (20)

23 Dec 2025

30,000 more pages released. Many documents containing Trump, which DOJ said content was untrue.

A new batch of nearly 30,000 pages is released. This release contained many documents involving President Donald Trump. The DOJ later said that some of the content was “untrue”. (21)

30 Jan 2026

Massive ‘final’ release, 58% of files released, no more to come.

3 million more pages released, plus ~180,000 images and ~2k videos. This brings us up to about 58% of the files being released (so ~3.5million out of the ~6 million).

~2.5 million files will stay withheld permanently, of which the DOJ claims is child sexual abuse material, victim privacy details, and active investigation records.

Over ~$800k has been spent on paying lawyers to redact the files. Deputy AG Todd Blanche stated this batch marked “the end of the administration’s planned releases“. (22)

30 Jan 2026

‘Trump’ mentions: ~5,361 search results.

A New York Times analysis of this larger 3.5-million-page release identified 38,000 references to Trump, his wife, Mar-a-Lago, and other related phrases across 5,361 specific files. (23) (24)

5 Feb 2026

Trump mentions drop to 1,474 results (a drop of ~3,900 files).

Trump mentions drop to 1,474 results. The DOJ attributes the drop of ~3900 files in search results to withholding files covered by attorney-client privilege, removing duplicates, applying Act exceptions, and technical indexing (saying result numbers can naturally fluctuate as databases are refined and indexed). (25)

Critics including Rep. Jim McGovern and the “world of social media” allege the drop is evidence of a deliberate “scrubbing” to protect President Trump; specifically pointing out the disappearance of EFTA01660683 as proof of a cover-up. (26) (27)

14-50 terabytes of data according to internal emails

If 14.6 TB is accurate, then 300GB out of 14,600GB (14.6TB) is only about 2.05%.

A Channel 4 investigation reported that internal emails show investigators originally discussed seizing 20 to 50 terabytes of data from Epstein’s properties.

In 2020, investigators estimated the files totaled up to 50 terabytes, while in 2025, officials wrote that they were “looking at approximately 14.6 terabytes of archived data.” (28) (29) (30)

This would include tapes, surveillance footage, computers, storage drives, CDs, logs and visitor records, grand jury records, internal DOJ memos, FBI interviews from victims, etc. Obviously the victims sexual assault videos, porn, and surveillance would not be included in the final release, and the investigators flagged they were looking at “14.6TB” of data.

24 Feb 2026

“Yesterday, I reviewed unredacted evidence logs at the Department of Justice. Oversight Democrats can confirm that the DOJ appears to have illegally withheld FBI interviews with this survivor who accused President Trump of heinous crimes”

~ Rep. Robert Garcia

NPR finds the DOJ had withheld some Epstein files related to allegations that President Trump sexually abused a minor, and that they had also removed some documents from the public database where accusations against Jeffrey Epstein also mention Trump.

These include what appear to be more than 50 pages of FBI interviews, as well as notes from conversations with a woman who accused Trump of sexual abuse decades ago when she was a minor.

Following NPR’s reporting, the House Oversight Committee’s ranking member, Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., released a statement about the missing files, confirming they were illegally withheld. (31) (32)

~47k files removed

Redacted

47,635 files were being held offline “for further review”, with DOJ saying they were not removed permanently and will be reposted with redactions – as of today, 11 Mar 2026, the files have not yet been reposted. (33)

4 Mar 2026

AG Pam Bondi supoenaed

The committee voted to subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi to answer why millions of pages remain concealed, why the DOJ failed to properly redact the identities of Epstein’s victims, to ask why the DOJ monitored the search history of Members of Congress who were reviewing unredacted versions of the files, and why certain Trump-related files were initially omitted. (34)

5 Mar 2026

FBI interviews added

16 extra pages that were previously withheld, were released of 2019 FBI interview summaries of a woman accusing Trump of sexually abusing her as a minor in the 1980’s. (35) (36)

Conclusion

So, it’s a bit confusing. If what we’re told is true, we thought 6 million files was the expectation for release, which means there was less than 1%, then 58% (~300GB) released.

But, that is minus the 47K missing files (approx. 65,500 pages) that they later removed for more “redacting” on 2nd Mar 2026. If those 65,500 pages are permanently removed, then we have access to 48.9% of the 6 million files they said they had.

However, the “less than 2%” claim is true if the Channel 4 investigation (13 Feb entry) is more accurate. DOJ released ~300GB but if the actual figure is ~14TB, then the figure drops back down to ~2.05%.
