We can't vote our way out of this one - Because people don't read past the first page or have any kind of critical thinking, we default to "teams" - picking a "side" vs the "other", and because of that, we can be moved like hive-minded, empty-headed Pawns across the chess board. Group-think and blind-faith is the equivalent of a Non-Player Character.
