Amish Covid “Drinking from the same cup during Pandemic & returned to normal-life back in May 2020”
Thousands of families lead lives that emphasizes the virtuous over the superficial, they don’t usually drive, have electricity, or have tvs. During the COVID-19 outbreak, they became subjects in a massive experiment.
There’s 3 things the Amish don’t like:
- They won’t get involved in government
- They don’t like the public education system
- They don’t like the health system
Those 3 things are all part of what COVID is.
After a short shutdown, the Amish chose the unique path of letting COVID rip through the community – everyone drinking out of the same cup. They weren’t denying a virus, they were facing it head-on.
To shutdown and say we can’t go to church, can’t get together with family, can’t see our old people in the hospital, we got to quit working? It’s going completely against everything we believe – you’re changing our culture completely.
The Amish community went “back to normal” in May 2020.
They didn’t get tested, so there are no case numbers to compare, but there is no evidence of any more deaths among the Amish than in places that shut down tight. No masking, no testing, and no staying at home.
There is no data on vaccination rates either, and they said that they all got the covid so why get the vaccine?

I'm still without proper internet as apparently there was an equipment failure at the ISP-level that they are waiting for a replacement part for.
