Remove Security Shield (Fake Virus Scanner)

Security Shield is a fake virus scanner that tricks people into paying them to “remove” viruses. If you buy it, you will lose both your money (the program does nothing) and your personal information.

It stays dormant for months and then all of a sudden pops up, does a fake scan and then prompts you to ‘pay’ to remove a bunch of virus. Two of my friends have already been infected. This is the video that I found that shows you step-by-step how to remove it safely from your computer.
